EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PEDAGOGY
I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University as a Theatre undergrad, then got my Master's in Education. Because of this, I am an engaging, lively tutor who makes sure that my students are having fun while they are learning. I am certified to teach Middle and High School English. When testing to get my certification, I scored in the top 15% of all Praxis test takers. I student taught at Morris County School of Technology, in Denville, NJ, and have been tutoring and substituting in various schools in the area for six years.
I enjoy getting to know my students so that I can help them write personal, dynamic essays, or in order to give them tips on what study habits are right for them. I'm also great with helping students with test anxiety. I love building a rapport with my students and helping them succeed while being confident in their academics, college submissions, and exams.

Academic and College Admissions Essays
I have helped many middle, high school, and college students brainstorm and write dynamic, interesting essays. In college admissions essay work, I enjoy interviewing students in order to get to know them more so that we can find what they should write about and how to put their personality and character into their writing. I'm a grammar wizard, so I make sure that anything my students write is clear, concise, and interesting, while being grammatically accurate.
ACT/SAT TUTORING

I have been helping students with ACT and SAT prep for years, and consistently help them raise their test scores. I teach a straightforward, proven strategy to help students achieve better accuracy and quicker timing in the ACT and SAT Reading sections. I am also very familiar with the new ACT Essay, and have lots of tips and tricks to make sure that my students have a great essay. I also help identify grammatical weaknesses to go over specifics in order to improve scores in the ACT and SAT English sections.
